1. Anti Drone Bird
Unmanned interception of drones may be practical, but if you are the type of person who wants to make a few gaps on a bad road sign, you may want to see the birds of anti drones – especially the hawks who have received training to solve the problem of drones in the sky. In fact, some of these birds can even catch drones and bring them back to the training plane. 2. Anti drone jammer
If you need a more subtle method than physical interception, then frequency interference may be what you need, and an anti drone defense system is such a solution. It scans the sky of drones and uses its own high-power wireless signals to block their control signals.
Alternatively, if you need a more portable option, a precise anti drone rifle that uses targeted radio signals to interrupt drone control, which is roughly the same as the operation of an anti drone defense system. 3. Unmanned Blinding Laser
Anti drone lasers are a bit like anti drone jammers, in addition to not interfering with the drone’s control signal, they will interfere with its camera. Digital cameras use light sensors to obtain visual information, so if you overload the sensor with too much light, you can turn it off.
Have you ever taken a video from your home where a few seconds after you walked out the door, everything turned bright and white, right? This is basically the working principle of a blinding laser. All you need is a low-power laser pen and some good targets. But be careful when using it.
4. Drone detection system
As early as 2013, a group of engineers and computer scientists began a crowdfunding campaign called DroneShield. Supported by the Raspberry Pi core, it can detect the presence of drones through a microphone, thereby picking up frequencies that humans cannot hear. Once processed, the signal will be compared with the database to separate it from daily noise and confirm if it is a drone. If so, the device will notify you in your way of the presence of drones nearby.
5. Drone hijacking
An important thing about drones is that they will never have a 100% negative impact on hackers, just like computers and mobile devices will never be fully protected. Please remember, if you plan to purchase your own drone.
The problem is that this weakness can always be exploited, as evidenced by security researchers hijacking a $35000 police drone remotely from a mile away. If government drones can be banned in this way, it is reasonable to assume that most consumer grade drones will not have a chance.
It’s not that you should bypass hijacking drones, but in the future we may see the use of these fragile destruction devices to knock drones out of the sky and maintain peace.
6. Create a no-fly zone
Perhaps you are good at drones flying into the sky, but you don’t want them to peek at your windows or accidentally wander around your home. In this situation, you should support the growing movement of “unmanned areas” to prevent drones from flying through certain airspace. Some UAV manufacturers have even jointly created the no-fly zone. If you add the address to their database, any drones created by these manufacturers will not be able to fly over your property due to built-in GPS based restrictions. 7. Develop relevant laws
If everything fails, the last thing you can do is to promote laws that protect citizens’ privacy from drones. Since the drone craze truly took off in 2013, bills have been emerging, some of which have even passed the law, but we still have a long way to go.
The good news for privacy advocates is that both parties agree and hope to ‘prevent high-tech window peeping’. On the other hand, drone enthusiasts believe that these privacy concerns are based on incorrect information, and the law should not tighten them before the drone industry blooms. Ideally, we would find a middle ground, but before that, we were in a stalemate where privacy threats were real and we did not have the appropriate tools to protect ourselves. The law may ultimately become the only effective defense.
